Then you get nights like the Austoria ..waited until 3am for a aftershow and got a no show.. went to Wendy and Lisa at Brixton and could see Prince behind the scenes... They started to play Mountains and kept looking side of stage but again a no show...

Yep, Astoria was a shambles.

Think I fell asleep in the end on one of the tables upstairs

I managed to fall asleep against a speaker in the middle of a Prodigy gig in Tufnell Park once. Head was thumping when I woke up.

The wife has just gone to be with a strop on. (Not a strap on thank god).

I'm going to suffer for this now - and that before the expense of a ticket IF i manage to get one.

Maybe I am getting old - I just wished he would sell tickets like most other performers do. I no longer live in London, have work and family commitments and little patience left.

(God I sound ready for my pipe and slippers!).

I just want to buy my tickets if I am lucky enough to get them - can do without the rest of this farce.

Never heard of Eileen before tonight, but she sounds genuinely wonderful.

I got some tickets for Lovesexy, Nude & D&P tours from EIleen, I remember filling the sheet for preferred dates, attaching a cheque and posting it before gigs were even announced, then receiving the tickets a few weeks later and working out where you was on the seat map on the back, always in the front blocks !!! good old days when Prince's people looked after the fans and provided good tickets in advance. Now we hang around on here wonder if we're gonna have to go via scalpers and pay a premium on Seatwave etc.

I also went on the 1991 Minneapolis trip with Controversy, got a tour of Paisley park and had some fun in Glam Slam.

Yep same here... those were the days

I agree. This is getting boring now. The buzz was good when it first started but this is stress now at the highest level! If they know what they're doing and when, then they should just tell us and put us out of our misery.

Lot of nostalgia going on here tonight. I'm a relative newbie having only been to four after shows, the one at the Marquee (after seeing all three of the shows at the Hammersmith Odeon) and three of the Indigo gigs. I have no idea if I'll make it to any shows this time, as I'm working nights for the rest of the week - I was really hoping there'd be something tonight.

Still, it's been kind of fun waiting up for news. In a way.

Some brilliant memories and stories in this thread and nice to read them. Mix that with photos of houses with Blue Lights on full and I'm hoping this announcement is delayed another couple of days
